The Special Rate is applicable to the Lake Macquarie Volunteer Landcare Network and the Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhoods Alliance programs. For shorter hires (1 hour or less) these group can access the kitchen without charge. Hirers have use of the kitchen space, equipment, cutlery, crockery, and cooking utensils as well as tea and coffee making supplies including biscuits. |

This fee is for casual hirers who have been approved to serve alcohol at a hire events. This fee will only apply where permission is given for the service of alcohol at an event. It cannot be automatically assumed that all hires will be able to receive this permission. Where an event clearly aligns with the intentions of the L&SLC, and the hirer demonstrates why the provision of alcohol as a part of that function is suitable, special permission can be provided for events. In this instance, the event will attract the ‘Function Fee’ in addition to any other hire fees and charges. |

This fee allows for staff to provide a 1-hour tour and talk to groups of 10 - 30 people within the centre. Groups are provided with a staff guided walk around the facility highlighting key sustainability features, a talk on Landcare and volunteering in Lake Macquarie, a standing tour of the native plant nursery, a talk with the Lake Macquarie Volunteer Landcare Network or the Lake Macquarie Sustainable Neighbourhood Alliance (if available) and basic refreshments. |
